a cube is coloured red on two opposite faces, blue on two adjacent faces and yellow on two remaining faces. it is then cut into two halves among the plane parallel to the red faces.one piece is then cut into 4 equal cubes and other one into 32 equal cubes. how many cubes do not have any red face

Step-by-step explanation:

Lest cube is a * a * a

Cube is cut in to two halves

Each has Dimension a * a * a/2

Each cube has one face with red cubes

Now the cube which is cut into 4 Equal cubes

will have Dimension a/2* a/2 * a/2

so Each Cube will have one face Red

no Cube without red face

Another Part is cut into 32 equal cubes

have dimensions = a/4 * a/4 * a/ 4

16 cubes will have red faces

16 cubes will not have any red face

in total 16 cubes do not have any red face
