Give an example of a Compound containing both ionic and covalent bonds????

If you want a simple example, take ammonium chloride, NH4Cl. It has four covalent N-H bonds. It also has an ionic bond between NH4+ cation and Cl- anion.

If you want something more interesting, think about DNA or proteins. The skeletons of these important molecules are assembled via covalent bonds but the charged groups (phosphates in DNA, ammonium and carboxylate ions in proteins) interact with their counter-ions via ionic bonds.
