Among Covalent and Ionic compound which will have higher melting and boiling point and why? please give me short answer

Answer:
Ionic compounds have high melting point than covalent compound because Ionic bond is much stronger than covalent bonds , So for breaking the bond we require more energy as compared to covalent bonds . single covalent bond is formed by sharing of one electron pair between two atoms
