Energy of first liquid + energy of 2nd liquid = energy of mixed liquid of 1st and 2nd

energy of first liquid = mc × 2t = mc2t

energy of 2nd liquid = (m/2)(2c)t = mct

specific heat of mixture, C = (mc + m/2 × 2c)/(m + m/2) = 2mc/(3m/2) = 4c/3

Let resulting temperature of mixture is T

then, energy of mixture = (m + m/2) × (4c/3) × T

now, 2mct + mct = (3m/2) × (4c/3) × T

or, 3mct = 2mc × T

or, T = 3t/2

hence , resulting temperature of mixture is 3t/2.

The specific heat of water is 4.18 j/(g⋅∘c). calculate the molar heat capacity of water.
