When I was 4 years old, my brother was half my age. Now, I'm 18. How old is my brother ? The setup of the question suggest his brother was half his age when he was for..but his age is then mentiond and he is 18 now witch Means that The brother must have been 9 at The time and The eqation is 3*9÷4=23 his brother is an older brother!

When I was 4
years old, my brother was 2 years old. (It is given that my brother is half my
age at that time.)



Now, I am 18 years
old. That means there is a gap of 14 years between now and then.



That in turn
means my brother is also 14 years older than when he was 2 years old.



This implies that he is 14+2 = 16 years old.
