The force exerted to pull a cart is directly proportional

Asked by admin @ in Math viewed by 359 People

20) The force exerted to pull a cart is directly proportional to the acceleration produced in the body. Express the statement as a linear equation of two variables and draw the graph of the same by taking the constant mass equal to 6 kg. Read from the graph, the force required when the acceleration produced is (i) 5 m/sec , (ii) 6 m/sec

Your Answer:

Given:-

\tt \blacktriangleright F \propto a \\\\ \tt Where, \\\\ \tt \star F = force(y) \\\\ \tt \star a = acceleration(x)\\

Solution:-

\tt Removing \ \ \propto \ \ symbol \ \ by \ \ using \ \ constant

\tt F = ma \\\\ \tt \star here, m =mass

\tt Replacing \ \ the \ \  value \ \ of \ \ F,a \ \ and  \ \ m

\tt y = 6x

forming the Graph

Lets create some points to locate

let x = 0

So, y = 0

The first point is A(0,0)

let x = 1

So, y = 6

The second point is B(1,6)

By observing the graph we come to know that the force is 30units at 5m/s^2 and 36units at 6m/s^2
