In three numbers, the first is twice the second and thrice the third, If the average of these three numbers is 44, then the first number is?

Lets assume be the first number is 6 then secod number would be 3 and third would be 2 according to condition....and they are in the ratio of 6:3:2 so there would be one common multiple for all..lets find that common multiple. thus we know that the average is 44.. that means we can say that (
(6x+3x+2x)/3=44 where x is the common multiple
then,
6x+3x+2x=132
11x =132
x=12, which is common multiple..
so firtst number would be 12*6=72
Your answer is 72
similarly second number would be 3*12=36
and third 2*12=24
you can cross verify,
(72+36+24)/3,
132/3.
