How did the Battle of Saratoga affect the American Revolution?

-French troops joined the war on behalf of the colonists.
-The Hessian mercenaries were eliminated from the war.
-Continental soldiers were bribed to compromise the war.
-Washington withdrew from the war after another loss.
About 10,000 Continental soldiers became prisoners of war.

France joined the war. They realized, after Saratoga, that America could win the war, and decided to join to help them win independence as France did with the French Revolution.
