The total amount of body fat comprises of storage fat and essential fat. The fat that mainly collects in the adipose tissue is named as storage fat. The fat present in the bone marrow, spleen, lungs, heart, liver, kidneys, muscles, intestines and lipid–tissue present throughout the central nervous system are named as essential fat.
