Good morning to all the experts, Principal Sir, teachers and my dear colleagues. As we are here to celebrate this occasion and I would like to speak on the importance of sports and games in our life.

The sports and games benefit us in many different ways, but we do not take full advantage of it. We can achieve many things in our through sports such as health, fitness, peace, money, name, fame, etc. it provides a lot of opportunities in life, it requires full dedication, commitment and regular practice. By doing in a wrong way it can be harmful to health.

According to the parent’s survey, it is found that sports participation enhances children school accomplishments. The area of sports is not limited it can be a lifelong achievement for a person. The person who loves the sports they always participate in the challenging sports contests and also love the classroom challenges and they can function in the competitive society. The regular participation in sports teaches them to play the game of sports and life. They become an expert to win the losing game, they become very disciplined and confident in their whole life and never become hopeless in the struggles of life. Sports develop the morals, necessary skills and art of living in them.

The competition is increasing day by day in the society so, it requires more efforts from the children and youths to lead ahead. Sports can develop the peaceful mind and highly skilled mind which is necessary to survive in the competitive field. The person’s interest towards the sports activities they will never give up or quit from any game of the life. Participating in the sports and games teaches to be a team player to them who have the attitude to always win and be the centre of attention. It builds the confidence also gives lots of fun to the children. It brings the sense of improvement, accomplishment and feeling of personal progress. It gives the fame to the sports-persons in our country as well as worldwide.

Some people do not have interest in playing the sports and games however they watch the sports activities on TV such as cricket, hockey, football, volleyball, etc. It gives them happiness and pleasure to watch the games when their favourite sports person wins the match. Nowadays the sports person are highly in demand in the market because they have great business value at national and international level.

We should not only involve our life in the sports activity to make a career but also for a healthy life. Today girls are also participating in the sports and games activities to the same extents as the boys take part in sports with their own will without hesitation of family or society. The sports are the career builder activities, it builds the better and bright career. The modern children are very much interested in the sports and games as they get motivated from the sports on TV shows or cartoon networks at the young age. The interested children can get better opportunities to go ahead.
