Conc H₂SO₄ or CaCl₂ or P₄O₁₀ cannot use in drying of ammonia because these chemicals are strong acid and ammonia is a strong base, hence a reaction between acid and base will form salt .
For example the reaction between H₂SO₄ and ammonia(NH₃)
2NH₃ + H₂SO₄ ---------> (NH₄)₂SO₄
Hence ammonia will no longer be in its natural state and become a salt, hence Conc H₂SO₄ or CaCl₂ or P₄O₁₀ are not user for drying ammonia.
