CEO Jason Chicola says, that the idea for Rev.com was inspired by his time at oDesk. Mr. Chicola started the site with co-founder and former oDesk colleagueJosh Breinlinger in 2010. What does Rev look for in a freelancer?

Rev is looking for freelancers who are highly qualified in transcribing and translating audios. They regularly grade the workers' projects once they are completed. In order to continuously work for them, one has to be fast in typing, a good listener, understands proper punctuation, has a good grasp of grammar as well as spelling, can learn the transcription's format and is a critical thinker. These are the qualities of a freelancer that Rev is looking for.
