1. Phenolphthalein is often used as an indicator in acid-base titrations. It is slightly soluble soluble in water. It turns acidic in acidic solution and turns pink in basic solution. Since soap solution is basic, so phenophthalein turns pink in pink solution.

2. Chlorine gas
