Why do diving birds dive straight down to catch fish and how is this related to refraction

❏The bird flies vertically over the position of the fish, and then dives into the water at a 90 Degree angle.
The concept here is that the normally incident rays do not undergo refraction, hence the fish lies exactly where it appears to be.
