The radius of curvature of a concave mirror is 40 cm. Find position of an object in front of the mirror, so

that its real image is two times the size of the object.

m = h2/h1 = 1/2 (magnification of convex mirror is positive)

Now m = -v/u = 1/2 >> u = -2v

1/20 = (-1+2)/2v

v = 10 cm and u = -20 cm
