The Calorie or specifically gram calorie (cal) is the amount of energy needed to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one degree Celsius at a pressure of one atmosphere. Jigar Shah, A mechanical engineer, learner, photographer and enthusiast. Joule and calorie both are the unit of energy.
