What is the value of electric potential on equatorial line of an electric dipole

It is Zero...

we know that Electric potetial due to a point charge at any location r is V = kq / r
where
k = coulomb's constant
q = charge particle which is resposibld for creating potentials at location r
r = distance from the charge q

Note that : Negative charge create negative potential and positive charge create positive potential..

So ,
Potential due to +q at location r is V = kq /r and
Potentisl due to -q at location r is V = - kq / r

Potantial is a scalar quantity...So it can be added or subtracted by simple rule of algebra..
