Air pressurized water extinguishers (apw) are suitable for electrical fires

To answer this question we need to understand the levels of fire.

We have :

1.) Type A

Fire caused by burning of simple things like paper.

2.) Type B

Fire caused by flammable linguistic such as gasoline.

3.) Type C

Fire caused by electricity.

Ways of putting of the three different fires :

1.) Aire pressurized water extinguishers

They contain water with air at a high pressure. They are only used to extinguish type A fire.

Since water is a good conductor electricity, they cannot be used in electricity fires.

2) Liquid Carbon (iv) oxide

Made up of Carbon dioxide and high pressure.

Used for type C and B fires only.

3.) Dry chemical

It is made up of foam and Nitrogen under high pressure hence it can be used for both type A, B and C.
