Y 1 5 6 x 4 in standard form

Asked by maham237 @ in Mathematics viewed by 347 People

Write y = 1/6x + 4 in standard form using integers.

Answered by maham237 @

we know that

The standard form of the equation of the line is

 Ax + By = C

we have

 y = \frac{1}{6}x + 4

Multiply by  6 both sides

 6y = x+24

Subtract x both sides

 -x+6y = 24

therefore

the answer is

the equation of the line in standard form is equal to

 -x+6y = 24
