Firstly, let’s see, what is π.
π is the ratio of Circumference of a Circle to its Diameter. And this statement holds true for any circle!
If calculated, we find that π is actually an Irrational number . It’s value goes something like 3.1415926535 8979323846 2643383279 5028841971 6939937510 5820974944 ……
But value of the expression 227=3.142857142857142857227=3.142857142857142857
This is because227227is a Diophantine Number.
In the field of number theory, Diophantine numbers deal with approximation of real numbers by rational numbers. Thus irrational numbers like π, √2 , √3, are approximated to a best possible value, to overcome the complications is day-to-day mathematics.
