Which of the following pairs of angles are supplementary?
Answered by admin @
Solution :-
Only 1st and 2nd pairs of angles are supplementary angles out of the given three.
Explanation -
Two angles are supplementary when they add up to 180 degree. They do not have to next to each other, just so long as the total of the two angles equal to 180 degree.
Example :
1) 60° and 120° are supplementary angles.
2) 135° and 45° are supplementary angles.
In the above question,
1) 110° and 70° are supplementary angles (110 + 70 = 180)
2) 90° and 90° are supplementary angles (90 + 90 = 180)
3) 50° and 140° are not supplementary angles because their sum is not equal to 180 degree.
