A car owner buys petrol at rs.7.50, rs. 8 and rs. 8.50 per litre for three successive years.what approximately is the average cost per litre of petrol if he spends rs. 4000 each year

for the first year total litre petrol by car owner
=7.5*4000=30000
for the second year
=8*4000=32000
for the third year
=8.5*4000 =34000
so the total litre of petrol by own by car owner is 30000 +32000 +34000 =96000
total amount spent by car owner is equal to
=4000 *3=12000
so average cost per litre of petrol is
=total litre of petrol divided by amount of rupees
=96000 /12000
=8
