Two separate bulbs contain ideal gases A and B . The density of A is twice as that of gas B . The molecular mass of gas A is half as that of B . If two gases are at same temperature , the ratio of the pressure of A to that of B is ?

The Equation for an Ideal gas is

PV =nRT

The Temperature is kept constant and R is a constant ,

PV ∝ n

⇒PV∝ w/M

⇒P ∝ w/MV

⇒P ∝ d/M (as w/V =density =d)

⇒P= kd/M (where k is a constant)

So ,,

$P_A/P_B = \frac{kd_A/M_A}{kd_B/M_B}\\ P_A/P_B =d_AM_B/d_BM_A\\P_A/P_B=\frac{(2d_B)(M_B)}{d_B(M_A/2)} \\P_A/P_B=4$
