If 6 years are subtracted from the present age of gagan and the remainder is divided by 18, then the present age of his grandson anup is obtained. If anup is 2 years younger to madan whose age is 5 years, then what is gagan's present age? Out

# Answer- Gagan's age = 60 years

# Explaination-

Suppose Gagan's age is x, Anup's age is y and Madan's age is z.

According to given data,

(x-6)/18 = y

Also x=z-2

But given is Madan's age z=5years

y=5-2

y=3years

Now putting y=3 in previous eqn,

(x-6)/18=3

x-6=54

x=60years.

Hence, Gagan's age must be 60 years.
