Why is it dangerous for humans to drink salty ocean water? Describe the effects on cells and the body.

It is dangerous because of the amount of salt. The salt content is so high if you drink it like purified water it will be detrimental to your health. The salt water makes you thirstier so if you drink a lot of it, you will actually get more dehydrated. Eventually you will be so dehydrated you will die. Your body needs to get rid of the high salt content in your body you have the constant need to urinate. The more you urinate you need more water. So since the water dehydrates you you will die.
