Structural functions:

The structural and functional difference between the DNA and RNA is that. The DNA is made of nitrogenous bases, deoxy ribose sugar and phosphate bond.

The RNA is made of ribose sugar, nitrogenous bases and phosphate. The nitrogenous base thymine is replaced by uracil in case of RNA.

The three different types of RNA are: tRNA , rRNA and mRNA.
The transcription can be defined as the first step of the gene expression. It involves the copying the DNA of the gene to convert it into RNA.
Transcription takes place in the nucleus of the cell.
