Carbon cycle ends when carbon dioxide is released when plants die and decompose. Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is carried through the ocean with precipitation and plants also use carbon dioxide in the atmosphere for photosynthesis. Carbon dioxide travels through the atmosphere through photosynthesis and cellular respiration. Plants use carbon dioxide to perform cellular respiration and release carbon dioxide as a by-product.
