I am writing to apply for the position of a makeup artist with Arista Film Company. I have a bachelor’s degree in cosmetology from Houston Community College. I have been doing freelance work for the last three years. In my role as a freelance makeup artist, I provide makeup applications to individual clients, and also for film productions, theater companies, and fashion models.

I have worked on makeup to create complex characters. I know how to vary the makeup based on the lighting effects of a set. I am up to date with the latest technology and latest products available in my field. In an assignment I did recently for New Age Studios, I single handedly managed the makeup for 10 actors. The makeup included prosthetic techniques. In my previous assignments, I applied makeup for actors who played injured and old characters.

I have good teamwork skills. I have worked as part of the makeup team in movies such as The Hobbit, Star Wars, and S-u-i-c-i-d-e Squad. I am well aware of the basic techniques that go into the making of characters in the fantasy genre.
